Villa Yasmina. Kefalonia.

  • Tim May, 2015

First holiday abroad for Ivy (11months) and had a great time. Weather was changeable but this enables us to visit Fiskardo, Sami, St Thomas' beach and Argostoli numerous times.Recommend a meal at Elionas (Kefalonian meat pie was great especially for a big eaters like me). Must see the turtles in Argostoli and we also saw dolphins at St. Thomas' beach. Bakery in Peratata is amazing and very inexpensive. AB supermarket is the best. Would definitely recommend Kefalonia and the Villa to others.

Really nice weeks break, at a really nice villa. Ivor was very helpful, and his restaurant recommendations were spot on. We loved Kastro at the Castle for lunch. Best beach for us was Avithos. Assos and Fiskardo worth the trip.

Had a great 2 weeks. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Villa very good, great location for getting around. Beaches very good especially St. Thomas and Avithos. Can recommend breakfast/lunch and dinner and Avithos, cakes at Kastro and dinner at the Olive Tree. Villa very well equipped which made life very easy. Also recommend Assos, Fiskardo, stunning scenery on the drive up the coast. If you are looking for dinner in Argostoli the Premier on the main square was wonderful food. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We have visited Kefalonia for a number of years, always around this area. This year we brought our adult daughter and Villa Yasmina has met our needs perfectly. It is a beautifully peaceful setting and an excellent base for our explorations. We are always surprised when we come across roads or small villages that we had not already visited. We really appreciated Villa Yasmina being stocked with all the basic essentials as this made everything so much easier. The attention to maintaining the pool and Villa is of a high standard and Keith, Pam and Ivor do an excellent job. We will be returning to Kefalonia and may just have found our dream retirement area. Check out the cake shop in Peratata. Hope you enjoy Kefalonia as we always do.

Two great weeks in a thoroughly splendid villa on a lovely island. The views from the poolside to St George's Castle and Mount Ainos are truly marvellous. We also had a complementary meal cooked in the villa by Viva the private chef, a lovely lady, and it was delicious.

We visited Villa Yasmina in September. The villa is clean and very well maintained. The views are amazing and it is very quiet except for the goats bells! I would not hesitate in recommending the villa to anyone and we will definitely return one day!

We decided to take a holiday at the last minute and were lucky to come across Villa Yasmina. It is an idyllic location, with lovely views of the mountains and the Castle of St George, which is beautifully lit at night. We enjoyed a very relaxing week with our two teenage girls lazing by the pool and enjoying the views, while still having plenty of time to visit all the sights and some of the numerous beaches nearby. It is an ideal base to explore the island from. The villa is superbly equipped and decorated and the welcome pack was much appreciated after our journey. We enjoyed every minute of our holiday at Villa Yamsina and are already thinking about when we might return.

This is our second visit to Villa Yasmina, the first being in 2012. Despite staying in other villas in Kefalonia, we have returned to Villa Yasmina for its location and quality. We have had some interesting weather with thunder storms torrential rain and gale force winds. (Try not to be in the hills in this weather), but gloriously hot sunny days as well. Pam and Ivor do a great job of maintaining the villa and it is always well presented. We have recommended Villa Yasmina to others without hesitation, it is a beautiful place.

We’ve had a lovely week in Kefalonia. The weather has been lovely all the time. The pool is really big and was always clear and clean. My favourite place to visit was Argostoli. There were huge turtles in the harbour and the museum was interesting. We had bread from the local bakery everyday for breakfast and grapes from the mini market. I really want to come again next year.

We had a wonderful stay in Villa Yasmina. It is a great location and has breathtaking views! We particularly enjoyed dining on the terrace and watching the sun go down with St. Georges Castle silhouetted against the pin-purple sky. The weather was beautiful every day and we both thoroughly enjoyed using the pool, which was kept very clean throughout our stay. The villa was everything we needed and we found the kitchen to be very equipped. At times we would have been grateful for a Wi-Fi connection as it is, alas, not always possible to completely avoid work – even in beautiful Kefalonia. There is free Wi-Fi in Peratata as well as Argostoli and Lassi. This is only a tiny comment though and everything else was perfect. We agree with others that the Elionas tavern is fantastic: we celebrated our wedding anniversary with a meal there and enjoyed 3 courses each plus several drinks for under 50euros !! Staff there are wonderful. Skala is a bit overdone but Poros was very pretty and highly recommend St. Thomas beach – truly stunning. We would recommend the AB supermarket and Carrefour too – both have a good selection of products. The AB supermarket is also open on Sundays. Thanks to Ivor for all his recommendations. All in all we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return to Villa Yasmina and Kefalonia. Thank you for a wonderful stay and to mike & Lesley for such helpful and friendly messages before our departure.

What more can we say! What a fabulous location - Villa Yasmina- Thank you for a lovely holiday, your villa is perfect, a lot of thought put into this place, every comfort for guests. We visited many places as recommended, they were all favourites?

The villa was wonderful, we loved the position, especially at night when we would sit out and enjoy the view of the Castle. Our girls both enjoyed the holiday, it was a very relaxing holiday for us all, which is just what we all needed. We enjoyed many days out, in particular, we enjoyed hiring out a boat from Ketelios and discovering lots of beautiful beaches and coves. There's still plenty we didn't get to see, so may be in a couple of years we may return, and if we do we will definitely be contacting you to see if Villa Yasmina is available. So we would all like to thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful villa, it had everything we needed.

We were the first guests to stay at this brand new modern villa in July and we had a most relaxing and wonderful holiday there. Both the owners and the couple that manage the property could not have been more helpful and the villa is extremely well equiped. The views from the pool terrace are to die for as are most of the vistas on the beautiful island of Kephalonia and we would throughly recommend a holiday here.

Thank you so much for the villa. I really enjoyed it especially the pool. I really want to come here next year. 10/10

Splendid accommodation on a wonderful island! We’ve all enjoyed a marvellous and relaxing holiday and will definitely be back; we couldn’t argue with any of the earlier reviews – you would really have to try very hard to find anywhere not to your liking on Kefalonia.

This was our second visit to Kefalonia, the last being 15 years ago. Not a lot of change has happened. The villa is very well equipped and looked after very well by Ivor and Pam who respond very quickly to any queries. The view from the villa looking towards St. Georges Castle is spectacular both day and night.

Our stay at Villa Yasmina was truly wonderful. The location was perfect, nothing but peace and quiet with panoramic views of Mount Enos and St George's Castle. The villa was spacious and very well equipped, it seems like the owners have thought of everything. We also enjoyed the garden, large patio area and the pool. We recommend Villa Yasmina and will definitely be booking again.

We stayed in this beautiful villa during the first week of August. It has the most amazing views from its generous patio and pool area - you won't want to go inside! When you do, the villa is very well equipped and has many little extras to make your stay more comfortable: beach towels, cupboards stocked beyond the welcome pack and even hair straighteners! Booking was easy and the owners provided plenty of information both before and during our stay. The villa managers were very helpful and available 24/7 if needed. A car is a must, the walk to the village is possible in 10 - 15 minutes, but is a challenge on the partly unsurfaced road in the heat of day. That said, the position of the villa off the beaten track is perfect for a peaceful, relaxing holiday. This region of the island has it all: lovely beaches, plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and yet still retains its charm. Argostoli is a short 10-15 minute drive and all other areas of the island are easily reached from this location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend both the villa and Kefalonia to anyone.
